Keep in mind that this is the "old" Willen, there seems to be a newer version called Willen II.
Not sure what the differences are though.

From all the reviews I have watched, they were all recommending beats pill or jbl products. Can anyone give me some advice on small portable Bluetooth speakers?

I need it for my desktop and I am okay with small one for now. I was looking at audio engine a2+ but I know Harman studio 3 is on sale. Any suggestions would help!

Depends on your needs, I like the HK Onyx series as desktop speaker that I can occasionally use as portables.

Advice on small bluetooth speakers?

-are you going to travel with them or take them anywhere? That will tell you whether you need a, more rugged speaker
-look for speakers with True Wireless Stereo ( TWS ) and budget for and purchase two. These speakers come into their own when they are paired and produce discrete stereo sound with separation.
-understand physics. Smaller size means limited volume and bass response. You won't be filling a conference room with sound. That being said, some of these smaller speakers truly impress (tribit stormbox micro 2)

The speakers you mentioned are a completely different type than the ones in this post and are not portable at all. I wouldn't recommend these if you want something that stays plugged on all the time.

How does the Marshall Willen compare to the new Beats Pill and the Sonos Roam 2. I just got the Beats Pill for $60 after the $40 off ( Amex) at Amazon. I also got the Roam 2 for $100 ( excellent condition) at Best Buy. I'm still comparing both speakers to see which one to keep. Thanks for any input.

It probably doesn't get as loud as either of those. This is a micro speaker whereas those are the next category up in terms of size. The Beats Pill is generally a mediocre speaker. The Sonos Roam is good but not great in its size category.

I don't think I've ever seen a review recommend the Beats Pill over its competitors.
