I own 5 axes and this is one of them. At 1st, I plan to use it as a camp axe due to it's weight and length, However I switch to Fiskas X7 instead and leave this unit in the trunk with my EDC emergency kits.

This axe function more like a knife than an axe, Due to thin blade design, there is no axe butt so you can not use it as a hammer. And you got to spend more energy to chop due to it's length& weight. The Nylon sheath is not ideal to take it off-- much worse than the Fiskas X7.

If you plan to use this for a lot of chopping -skip this one. A cheap budget regular axe even the Harbor Freight one will serve you well.
BTW, Do sharpen the axe you bought-no matter what brand you got. That does save you energy when you use it. I always sharpen them myself and try to get them close to razor sharp.
Just my 2 cents...

It's a solid hunk of cheap, relatively soft 3Cr stainless, so you can hammer on it without worrying as much about breaking it as you would a traditional hatchet. It's thin enough that it works more like a big, weird survival knife than an axe. Lots of cheap hatchets & axes ship fairly (or extremely) dull, so many people in the market for this would be happily surprised by the usefulness of a hatchet that's sharp out of the box.

Full tang is nice. Will it be as good as Silky ONO Professional Axe?

So maybe it's best for butchering a big game animal?
