No comments? This seems like a screaming deal, especially for the 55. Am I missing something? Is everyone just stuck in Thanksgiving traffic?

It's an alright deal. For only a couple hundred more there are a few deals floating around for the S90D which has a better panel, especially for gaming.

Although S90D is a fantastic TV, I would not recommend buying it. Search for 65inch reviews on Samsung's own website. There's a major quality control issue when it comes to its power boards. Even for newly bought TV's that go bad within a day, Samsung would not replace them. So its like buying a refurbished TV at full price. Samsung would only send their technicians for repairing them. Many complained about the TV's not turning on, display not working or TV going bad within couple of weeks or months.

This is a pretty common sale. Samsung has very poor quality control, which is why these go on sale often, and for cheaper than smaller LG OLEDs. 65" Samsungs always go on sale for less than 55" LGs.

Sounds like a great reason to get it from Best Buy and buy their extended Geek Squad warranty

Curiously though...why would someone not just return their TV it f it went bad in a day?

You could just return the TV

I'm not sure if Samsung allows it...per their return policy they will only return it if there's no physical damage to the TV. And once you open it and even if it works for a day, they will only repair it and not replace it. They wont even replace even if its damaged during shipping. I read all the review but could be different in some cases.

The S90D is by far the best TV for gaming for the price. rtings.com had an issue with the back panel of the review unit they received being not seated properly and I think that's what other people are referring to but it seems very uncommon and you CAN return the TV if you receive it like that. I've had my S90D for a few months and it's incredible.
