It's a very good deal for what you're getting. The display could have been better in terms of color gamut but that might get a pass because of the powerful processor and 32GB RAM that you're getting at this price. However, its Achilles heel is the tiny 42Whr battery. I reckon it would only be able to last 4-5 hours max because the i9-13900H would chew through it.
That being said this is a 16" laptop and people might have it plugged in more than they'd travel with it.
It's on the individual to assess if they're willing to compromise on the display and battery to get the powerhouse processor and more RAM (which is upgradeable in one slot).

Ah ok, yeah best I saw was a $15 off $30 or more.

Do you think this might be one of the better BF deals? Has a lot of what I'm looking for but might wait a bit to see what else pops up this week.

Can anyone give us a humans perspective on the graphics?

Intel Iris Xe Graphics g7 (96 EUs)

I'm looking for a laptop for my parents who do some very light, non shooter gaming. Is this comparable to a 780M for example?

Modern computer processors are pretty overpowered for what you need for everyday use - browsing, video watching, candy crush games. Even an 8th Gen Intel from 6 years ago can handle that just fine given sufficient amount of RAM (16GB) and SSD (Gen 3 or higher).

This processor the 13th gen Intel is terrible in the ranks of 2024 processor. It is inefficient (produce more heat) and has slower graphics compared to Intel's following 2 generations (meteor lake and lunar lake), or AMD's 3 last generations (Zen 3+, zen 4, zen 5). It is about half of 780m or Intel Arc integrated graphics.

But the processor alone shouldn't discourage you from the 13th gen because it is still more than enough for what you need. What should discourage you is the imbalance in specs of this laptop (i9 and 32GB RAM). You're paying for things you do not need. Why are you spending $600 for something you can buy at $450 new or even lower if you go refurbished that will do what you need to do.
