All time low was ~$5. Still a good deal for this amount of ink.

Personally don't need more blue/black though.

Waterman makes good inks that are usually safe to use with vintage fountain pens (though I'm sure most people with vintage pens already know this)

I have to ask, purely out of nosiness - for you fountain pen users, do you use it for some special use, or do you actually use it to write generally as you would using a ball point pen?

I use mine for almost everything I'd use a ballpoint for. The exception is if I'm writing on something that needs ink that dries immediately like signing a credit card.

It is still in use in India for all legal documents, as the ink will not fade for decades or centuries.

Very few people actually use pens much these days, it's a pokemon hobby mostly. I don't have a problem. Get off my lawn. yummy

Yeah, I work in tech so there's nobody writing around me 99.9% of the time but there are plenty of people who still use pens and pencils. My limited experience with a fountain pen was a pretty messy one about 20 years ago, and couldn't figure out at the time why anyone would do so unless they were trying to make a fashion statement or were doing some kind of calligraphy. That's my very uninformed view on it though from my one-and-done ownership.

I use daily. Most of them for signatures and instructions on stuff for staff.

I use a fountain pen daily. It started by realizing that I wanted a nice pencil and pen for writing in college. I got a parker urban, and a Pentel graphgear, and I enjoyed writing more.

You deserve to enjoy the things you use everyday. Your socks, your glasses, your computer mouse.

Go grab a kaweco/pilot/lamy/twsbi fountain pen for $30, and a good color ink like this waterman (this bottle was my first true blue ink).

I've heard that thoughts you write down are more easily remembered.

Enjoy not only putting words on paper, enjoy the instrument, and the process as well.

You deserve it.

Reminds me of that scene from Landa in Inglorious Bastards.
