"If you purchased a camera body, please note there are instances where we ship the camera body in a box which originally included the camera and the lens. The lens has been removed when it is not part of your purchase. Most manufactures do not include a paper manual. A pdf manual will be provided upon request."
That sounds like open box to me. If they open a sealed product that isn't new to me any longer.
No, it's just a service and warranty issue. Some manufacturers will not cover warranty issues and some may not service at all (Nikon.) By some reports, Canon treats these cameras like any regular product ( https://www.the-digital-picture.c...arket.aspx ) although they have ambiguous language on their web site ( https://www.usa.canon.com/support/gray-market .) Note the use of "may not" rather than "will not."
OTOH, the buyer ratings for 6th Ave are not great regarding "new" always being "new."
Good luck!

So the quality/condition of the camera could be questionable?

It's Amazon. Of course the quality/condition could be questionable. They happily sell counterfeits mixed in with their own inventory, for many many years.
And it's a third party within Amazon. So you're even at more risk. But hey, it's your money. You do you. I know I wouldn't risk it.

not an unusual practice, the camera itself is new, unused. but since it doesn't meet your standards don't buy it, there's plenty of new ones at B&H (of course higher price).

Very unusual practice for new retail product. It leaves a lot of chance for seller to do some shenanigans (not saying this seller or any seller would engage in that practice). If there is a good return program I would have no issue in purchasing. I think PayPal protection would cover me in the event the camera isn't as listed.
That being said I had this camera before and was looking to repurchase it again. Now that Canon is allowing 3rd party lenses the Canon R7 experience will only get better.
Great price on this camera. I ran it with the Canon RF 16mm f2.8.

You're welcome, it's still a good price, just the warranty is handled by the seller and not by Canon. I have a Sony A9 that's grey market so the default video setting is PAL instead of NTSC, and it reminds me every time I turn it on. Annoying

I recall it being common for splitting kits. Sell the body and kit lens separately to make more money.
That being said, it's not new retail packaging, it's white box.
Also, 6th Ave Electronics isn't an authorized seller for Canon.
