Yes, only HDMI 2.0. Look for HDMI 2.1 for future proofing.

Does anyone know how great or not would this be for console gaming, relative to other monitor options under $400?
Much prefer this size and resolution over 27" 4K for daily desktop use.

The monitor isn't going to get new features 3 years down the road even if it has HDMI 2.1..

I got a Capital One rewards alert when looking at this Monitor via Amazon, that would give me 70+ bucks back in rewards, fyi.

HP site appears to be hammered at the moment.

I have 3 of these monitors. One of them had 3 dead pixels out fo the box. I was able to exchange for another that was fine. I am assuming Amazon would be a fine place to return to if you have issues.
The Omen gaming hub auto installs itself from the MONITOR!!! It is super annoying, and slimey, but what more can you expect from HP?
Other than that the monitors are fine. I would not say they are the best, but plenty good to game on and general office use.
I got them on sale for 200, but I would not expect that level of pricing anytime soon.

a decent PC gaming setup will not use HDMI, Display adapter would be used. This is mainly concern for gaming consoles

how are you getting alerts? i have the firefox plugin, but didnt know capital one sent out alerts?....
