Nvidia is significantly faster for ray tracing. That being said, even on Nvidia there are many who feel that ray tracing isn't worth the performance penalty and extra cost. That said, for rasterization the AMD cards more than hold their own.

Correct, for now, Ray Tracing is a scam... It's not worth it. A lot of projects use the traditional methods of lightening the scene, and you won't tell a difference.

I have the black version and love it.

One warning. Check it's measurements and make sure you have enough space in your case for it. It's a big card. I like that, more surface area to shed heat, so the fans can run slower, but I only had about 1mm more space than absolutely needed in my case.

I got this card beginning of the year for 760 and that was on sale then for price comparison. It's a good card and looks really good in a lot of the white cases.

After watching both of these my take is that the RTX 4070 TI has superior ray tracing but the vast majority of games' implementation make it not worth turning it on. The RX 7900xt slightly edges out the RTX 4070ti in rasterization, has more VRAM, and is significantly cheaper on sale so I went with AMD.
