An insane amount of content for $5-6 across 3 games and all of the DLC.

If you have any love for sci-fi, or just appreciate a good narrative, you won't regret this.

Barely censored. I wouldn't even call it that as someone who played the originals, too. The only missing content was dlc from the first game that they didn't have the source for anymore. For this price, it's a no-brainer and a fantastic remaster to a great game with an amazing story arc.

One series I've never played. What other type of games is it like? Is it a sandbox like Skyrim/BoTW? More like RDR/GTA or more of a Witcher/Horizon open world that has a main story with less RPG type elements?
It's like other Bioware games like Star Wars KOTOR, Dragon Age, etc. Not as open world as Skyrim, but not totally linear either, more like a series of worlds that you can generally choose what order you play them in, and you can make more decisions that impact the story and the other games in the trilogy.

Why do I need all that shit just to play a single player game?

Lot of posts talking about the required end user agreements and EA requirements so I can't quote them all here Smilie but I will say this much.

A lot of people are not aware of this but the publisher, EA (Electronic Arts) has their own online storefront and they will always match Steam's price for Mass Effect Legendary or at least in my experience.. see this website

https://www.ea.com/games/mass-eff...ion/buy/pc

or just google search "ea mass effect legendary storefront" and the link should pop up.

I've read some bitter reports online (reddit) from Steam users who are unable to play the game due to the whole logging into EA requirement .. so in my case I just bought the game directly from EA's storefront at the website above, game works perfectly. You'd have to install EA's game launcher but I found it doesn't slow down my PC or negatively impact performance otherwise. Of course I'm talking about the PC version of the game I can't speak much to the xbox or playstation or what not experience since I don't have any with it Smilie

As someone who played and LOVED this game.. Mass Effect 2 makes some lists even today for "one of the greatest games of all time"... I encourage you to plunk down the little less than $5 , play ME2 and after that blows you away go back and play ME1, then carry your choices over to ME2 (yes you'll love ME2 that much Smilie ) and finish with ME3.

The graphics are dated despite it being "remastered" especially with ME1 (Mass Effect One) but the narrative and storytelling is so strong (particularly with ME2 and ME3) that it didn't really bother me. If you like nexus mods (google search nexus mods mass effect) has a lot of carefully crafted mass effect appearance improving mods - to be clear it isn't going to enhance the game to look like say the Batman Arkham Games or Witcher 3 for example Stick Out Tongue let alone Cyberpunk 2077 ... but I install them for fun anyways and enjoy the final outcome, they're surprisingly easy to install and I can confirm they work on the ME Legendary PC version.

There is a TON of video game content here especially when you consider all the DLC that is included, this trilogy of games will keep you busy for a long, LONG time for the five dollars you pay.

Do yourself a favor if you get stuck at any point in the game (this can happen sometimes in ME1 as far as "what do I do next?" not so much with ME2 and ME3) and avoid spoilers as much as possible when reading game guides or looking at youtube video playthroughs or what not , this trilogy of games is amazing and you owe it to yourself to come at it from as fresh a perspective as possible Smilie

And there's actually a PC mod to restore Pinnacle Station into the LE

I ported Pinnacle Station from ME1 to the Legendary Edition.

FYI this is not the complete game. Content was cut and it's also censored if that matters to you.
If you're on PC I'm sure a mod exists to fix this

Sure would be nice if they add cross platform saves here. That would entice me also to buy it for steam (I have it via PlayStation essentials).

Because they think it's anti-piracy. This just promotes it by requiring crapware.

Feels like this one might hit epic giveaway territory soon. Guess it's part of the remember the good times of bioware marketing push?

Does the steam version still require the ea app?
Yes, it does. Great games, but experience is ruined by launcher

Anyone have an experience with this on Steam Deck? Any DRM issues too?
It works… launch game from desktop and login EA app. Legendary Ed makes you download entire trilogy so you'll need 100+ GB free on your device

Just realized this now. I was thinking damn this is a big game, but forgot that it's all 3 games. It's an amazing deal! I forgot I had bought it already before so this is a nice reminder to finally play (or replay) these awesome games!

100%. This is quite literally one of the better trilogies in all of media.
