I got another brand that was posted on here a few weeks ago, also for $10. I'm pretty sure I was not using it properly because I ended up with bleeding gums (I wasn't even using the max power) and splashing water everywhere. My gums were sore for about a day. I used it for a total of 4 times before I gave up and went back to using regular floss instead.

Bleeding gums or eroding the gums so much your tooth falling out sure would be not worth it. I think I'll pass.

My gum also bleeding using with another brand, but I'm OK with waterpik, which is ADA approved.

There's not enough pressure to harm teeth, but it could cause dentinal hypersensitivity if the water is cold. It is powerful enough that it can cause some minor gingival irritation if you have sensitive gums. Mine broke after about 10 uses and will no longer charge. It was never mistreated.
