If you drop these or set them down too hard they brake easily

I have the heavier set have not had this issue. I think it is user error if that is happening. The plates have specific spots that they need to be placed in the holder. If they are not placed in those spots I bet that causes the dropping issue.

Same here. I see this complaint a lot and admittedly they are a bit clunky to fit back in the holder to adjust the weight, but no issues at all with things falling apart once adjusted.

Same with the bowflex. I've had both and the reason I prefer these is that the weight changing is so much quicker and you don't have to worry about not having the same weight on both ends.

Same. I've had the 100 lb set for a couple of years, use them daily with no issues

I concur with atihonow, I purchased 2 ofthese last year in the 52.5lb sizes off SD for this same price and am thoroughly impressed with them for the price. Even if the adjustment notches that switch the weight get misaligned, their is a button them that you push and allows you to realign it to the correct position. That being said, you cannot and should not drop these. I mean their only 55lbs each, if you can't shoulder/bench/tricep press 55lb dumbells without dropping them then you need to lower the weight and learn proper form.
