I just bought one. I'm not a dash cam afficionado but from what I've read on here in other threads, Rove seems to be one of the top dashcam brands and the consideration one poster gave was to find a true 4k cam because otherwise you cant read license plates (which can be a big deal if you ever need to use your video as evidence to identify who hit you in a car accident).

I had emailed Rove asking about their return policy on the Amazon "new and used" items and got this response:
The open-box units only have a 90-day replacement warranty.
Expect that the unit will work as if it is brand new.
Some open-box units were not even opened.
And don't worry about the warranty; most of the time, we give exemptions.
It seems that those $89 ones are gone though.
