At this price point people aren't looking for the best at anything, they're looking for good enough at most things.
"Remember when you had clean and quiet portable power?" <-- Someone got paid to write that?

No CO2 sensor. Good and bad.

Built in runtime meter is nice!

There is a fuel gauge on top. I'm not sure what kind of gauge it is. It might just be visual.

The fuel cutoff and then manual off switch is great. You don't need to empty the tank and run it dry.

Wish it had a real DC port instead of built-in USB. I don't know why they do this. It's cheaper for them and you get many options including boring USB if you want it. Adapters are cheap.

No quick remove panel for oil changes is a bummer.

I googled. This is not for sale anywhere else. This is either a new model or something specific.

It's low-end but good for the price and I like the Wen brand overall.

This thing is only 37.5 pounds. For example, the Westinghouse iGen 2200c is 47.4 pounds. The WEN 56225i is 49 pounds. The Honda 2200 is 48 pounds. Similar models are similar weights. The missing weight almost certainly comes from the heavy parts. Maybe they just learned to be more efficient with a new design, but the missing 10 pounds is notable.

The manual is good. Read it for details.

Good buy if you don't already have a generator.

If I didn't already own one like this, I would buy it. I got in on that $205 Amazon Westinghouse iGen2200c deal last year.
I have the 3800 Wen generator and has served me well during the last two hurricanes. This particular generator will run a fridge and a small 5k BTU air conditioner, some fans and lights, the basics but very thrifty at 1 gallon per 4.4 hours of run time. People seem to love the battery generators but truthfully this one would serve you better in the event of a long duration power outage than any battery generator at this price range (given you have 15 to 20 gallons of gas on hand).

Agreed. Just wish it was dual fuel. But either way. These specs seem absurd for a 2500 Watt portable inverter generator from a reputable company with a 3 year warranty. I guess only other want would be a 30amp plug...

I mean, it's 1900 running watts, and at 120v that is only 15.8 amps. If you are looking to hook up to a camper, an adapter is your best bet. For this to have a 30a RV plug is a bit much.

Pretty loud for size. Cheap but not really the best at anything.

Easy way to give the big gas hog generator a break. Runs my refrigerator and window shaker all night while asleep.

This is exactly what I'm looking for. Poor generator got one heck of a workout for a week last time running almost 24/7 (I totally understand that's not a good idea, but also.. justified it).

This is a crazy good deal. I ran on a similar model from them for three days straight during Helene and ended up using just under 5 gallons of gas. I ran it into a little UPS and had a chest freezer and the fridge off of that. I'd unplug those briefly to make coffee or use an induction hotplate. Worked very well.

The fuel gauge on these is great. Being able to turn the fuel line off and let it run dry is huge. I can't recommend this brand enough.

If I didn't already have a Honda 2200 that cost 5 times more I'd buy this. Actually, I still might buy it anyway

Edit: surprisingly loud at 65DB at quarter load. That's as loud as some open frame units that push 8000 watts.

I suspect that is why this unit is lighter than most......probably not much of a muffler installed

My suggestion is to buy the WEN magnetic oil stick as an upgrade. It has helped catch engine debris after each runtime and preserve the engine life longer.

Great price...I paid $500 for my 2000 watt WEN about 8+ years ago. Word of advice. Don't leave gas in it even with stabile for long periods of time as you are going to have to rebuild the carb/other things. At the end of the season with some gas and stabile run it dry and it will be good for the next year.
