I bought this exact computer last week, it's a beast. This is the motherboard: https://www.asus.com/motherboards...-a-ax6-ii/

My 4070 Super is an msi (I realize that can vary)
Memory is T Force Delta 16GBx2 5200

I found a discussion of this pc on reddit. Here is what they said about the loudness.

"I have one, and the fan loudness is fixable. For some reason the BIOS setting has the case fans going at max speed all the time, so I just went in to the settings and set up a curve. Once I did that it's much quieter now."

That's the neat part. You can upgrade the wifi chip yourself with a desktop. Also, no one uses wifi on a gaming machine.

Bios updated fixed it, along with the fan setting issue. It's solid now.You can always add a sound card if having opt out is that important to you.
can you elaborate further on 'fan noise' ?

What does it mean 'solid'.. does it mean when compare to other pc it's loud but not as loud as when it originally came?

I am bit worried about this as I plan to work my pc hard. Does it mean when fan is on hard, it's louder than other pc which is equip'd similiar?

i will take the plunge and dump it back to costco if fan is too loud. I see that someone says BIOS fixes it but I am not sure 100% what that means. I plan to work my pc hard so that means when it's working hard, it's louder than usual(when compare to similiar spec pc?)

Solid as in resolved and no longer an issue.

Odds are it will ship with the fans set to run high, and you can fix that with the bios update.

The bios are the initial default settings. Among them is the fan settings when the system is idling. The issue is the value is higher than it should be. You can lower the value once you update the bios which will make the system quieter while not under load.

If you don't understand the above, don't buy this. You won't be able to handle working with a desktop if you're this easily tripped up.

There's a 5 year warranty on the chip though I'm not sure how easy the process to get replacement on CPU is. I heard for the Alienware, Dell sends a technician to replace it. I plan to work it hard as well as I do sports photography and process about 1500/2000 raw files each day in Lightroom.

I used to build my own PC and since this is fan cooled, I can probably swap the CPU on my own.

I bought almost an identical build from Walmart a couple months ago and the fan noise was driving me crazy. Literally the only issue with the machine, which was otherwise a beast. I had tried so many things to isolate the noise issue till I realized I had no speed control of the fans while running windows, so I couldn't tell if they were running high or low. So I booted up BIOS and optimized the fan controls which ultimately enabled everything that wasn't working before. Since then my fans have been running perfectly. Turns out before that, the fans were running at max speed the second the PC booted up and just stayed at that speed regardless of what was (or wasn't) running.

Edit: for those unfamiliar with this, optimizing the fans is an actual function option while in BIOS. YouTube your way into BIOS and you'll eventually find an option to do this. The system will run the fans at different speed to "optimize" them under different loads. Doing this fixed the problem I was having, which seemed to be some sort of disconnect between my fans and the rest of the unit. I had to learn all this by trial and error to avoid returning the PC.

Easy said than done….cant turn down the fans if the option isn't enabled. That was my case till I fixed the communication issue between my fans and the motherboard.

Thanks this is helpful. I built one using component deals here including case and the Walmart cashback. Built with x870e mobo and amd (didn't want to risk Intel), came to similar price. The super is the real value though. I only was able to get a 4070
What is the huge fuss about Intel I can get the same deal with a Ryzen 7800xd it's only 8 core though?!? Wouldn't this be a better deal?! The Intel one I'm saying or is the Ryzen 7800xd better?!?

Does Costco do price adjustments? We bought that recently.

Edit it looks like we are about 2 weeks too late.
As long as it hasn't been 30 days go in with Costco card , they will adjust and refund the difference
