I found a discussion of this pc on reddit. Here is what they said about the loudness.

"I have one, and the fan loudness is fixable. For some reason the BIOS setting has the case fans going at max speed all the time, so I just went in to the settings and set up a curve. Once I did that it's much quieter now."

This comment made me pull the trigger. My most recent tower is an Inspiron from 2017 with a first gen Ryzen 1700 that won't even allow an upgrade to W11, paired with a 580 which was just an unlocked 480. It's been showing its age for a while now so I'm excited to pick up something new after 7 years.

Fan noise typically doesn't bother me because I like white noise, but knowing it's adjustable is good to know, and useful when necessary. Plus I figure buying from Costco gives me some piece of mind if I'm not as impressed as I'm hoping to be, or if the price changes within the next 30 or 90 days, whichever it is.

Cheers!

I think I'm going to pick this up, but I'm actually upset it doesn't have an external 5.25" bay. I use mine for Blu Ray playback so I guess I'll need to pick up a cheap external USB housing. This is a rocking deal.

Dang, no optical audio out either? Hmmm

Actually you know what, this CPU is one of the ones that has been having issues. I know they said it's been fixed, but I'm just not sure I buy it.

I can use some advice. I can wait on a laptop for 6 months. With 15th gen chips and 50 series GPU coming out soon, will this desktop be much cheaper after 6 months?

Does Costco do price adjustments? We bought that recently.

Edit it looks like we are about 2 weeks too late.
I tried to do the same thing for the griddle late 2 weeks out. So I bought a new one at the discounted price and returned it right after with the old receipt. Don't understand why all the hoops for price adjustment.

Is this worth $400 extra over i5/4060 Ti for $900? I mean is this really day and night difference for starters?
Also curious about this. Any notable diff between 4060 ti vs 4070 super?

Bios updated fixed it, along with the fan setting issue. It's solid now.

You can always add a sound card if having opt out is that important to you.

Buy the product again and return the old one at the original price. This is a loophole the manager at the Costco I go to told us to do. Return window is bigger than the price adjustment window.

Does Costco usually have the same pricing in-store vs online? They're showing this PC available in-store and I have to go there anyway tomorrow.

really? wifi 6 is stopping you from this deal? Might as well add bluetooth 5.1 to your list. Smallville123 is correct...any one serious about gaming dont use wifi. Stick to an ipad if you using wifi for gaming.
