Seriously, the SD'ers who posted to wait until $50 off $400 a few days ago in the main thread should have all their reps taken away from them. I can't stand misinformation.

I pity you. The SD'ers were just trying to be helpful. It wasn't misinformation, it was Costco who changed the coupon rules to 'on qualified items' part in the last minute.

Keep in mind, these are a service that is app controlled. If they change terms in the app, and you disagree with whatever they changed, you can no longer use the vacuum.
They recently made a change to their service agreement to add paid content services in the future. I disagreed, and away went my app. I didn't know I bought a service that can change without notice on me that would render my device useless unless I agreed to their changes.

$500 is still one good deal. With the backing of Costco.

You were worried about the vacuum's term of service? Man, don't ever read your cell service providers or apple/google one on your cell....shake headshake headshake headshake head

You are also going to hate buying a new car next, you should see what the auto makers have in store for you in the future WinkWink

What the return policy for Costco for robovac? I bought Dustin from Sam's couple of weeks back, and it keep failing on me every other day and their app is pathetic.

Unlimited. Robovacs not considered tech at Costco.

I just bought a new one at 499 and returned it straight to Costco w/o opening it refunding my previous sale price (599). The previous one I did the same thing from when it was 670 -- effectively getting a price adjustment each time. Note I'm not returning the old one, just the new one but with the old receipt to get the price diff.

You assume I haven't read them? Have you?

At least with Apple, they use your information to sell you products as their customer.

Google, they use your information to sell you to their customers - which is anyone and everyone globally, with little to no limits.

Cars, yeah, but different reputation than a vacuum company and a lot more at risk. Would you buy a Chinese car in the US?

But for a robot vacuum, made by a Chinese company, with a microphone and video camera on it, lidar, and wifi... that is a different story that honestly everyone should be aware of when they purchase this product.
