I really didn't want to get into another battery ecosystem but I'm in the market for a new circular saw and $109 for the 4/8ah battery, charger and a free brushless saw just might convince me.

Why so cheap? Are these being discontinued?

I bet metabo is trying to get its footing in the us market. They're at my Lowe's and idk how long they've been there, but their store display area is nice enough. I'm probably gonna bite on this as I need a better circular saw and am interested in checking them out. If it doesn't work out, I'm confident that I could sell the tool and battery for around what I paid for it or return it.

I don't think so. do you have the rear handle or the right hand saw? I could not pass up the stud. Fortunately in stock for me.

Kind of weird for a Lowe's deal, though - lots of their stores ditched all their cordless Metabo tools a year ago. My local store only carries their cordless nailers now.

I believe the rear handle, but now you're making me go check. For me, the circular saw is a circular saw for my cordless purposes (vs more labor intensive tasks to be done in/near a shop).

Wonder if I could sell the saw and keeping the battery would be a deal enough...

the right handed one (which I just bought now) is the newest saw from early this year. they nick named it the stud. I also have the rear handle which is an absolute beast. I suggest buy and even if you sold the saw for $50 you would still have a heck of a deal.

Just checked, I have the C18DBALQ4M, the 6-1/2" blade one (18V). Guess I'll get the stud....

In my area they have this deal at least once a year since starting the 36v line

This is a great everyday use professional saw, I've used it concrete forming for 2 years it still works as good as new. Metabo hpts 36v tools are definitely professional, the 18v triple hammer impact drivers are professional aswell. This deal is amazing
