I keep looking at these things but pretty much all gerber multitools seem to be an interesting idea with just enough problems with the execution to make them probably not worth the trouble.

Knife does lock, screwdriver does not. These are super handy.

Dang that makes it useless to me. Shame that they don't put a lock on it so it doesn't strip screws and close on your hand or start spinning off when your hand is in an awkward angle.

Interesting how SD staff members trying to push this PAID "advertising" several times now.

Here is the first one:

Also, REI had this tool cheaper using the 20% off coupon.

seeing only armbar scout at rei. Educationally: They ran out and the normal price was ~25 or less so 20% made it cheaper? The 20% was full price only historically.

I hate that they wasted one of the tools on a bottle opener. I fail to see how being able to inebriate myself will help me survive and or be more useful. I'd rather have had a saw. I mean I guess I can see how inebriating others might improve my survival or evening.

These knives are very very bad.

I got one because I love the smaller form factor but the knife blade itself was very very poor as was the screwdriver.

Inebriating myself is the only way I survive the holidays with my extended family.

Chances are way higher every day that I need to open beers and sodas vs use a tiny saw.

And interestingly, opening beverages doesn't always lead to a state of inebriation for some reason.

If this multi tool is all you've got in the wilderness as a means of survival, you might have bigger problems... Might as well uncork a bottle and enjoy it.
