This is NordicTrack's entry level treadmill. Very basic but probably better than those $2-300 off-brand treadmills. The $99 three year warranty is probably worth it as it the $20 any room delivery. The $149 install and any room delivery is probably not worth it since its not a difficult treadmill to assemble.

If only it was 20x55 instead of 18x55. The 6.5 series is 20x55 but is out of stock and at $599.

Does this come with the automatic updates that brick the controller?

Anyone have any more info on this. Seems like its always a control'er problem on most if not all the treadmills produced in today's market . I just don't want to pay several $100 for a fancy high tec item that might or no doubt will suddenly be bricked by a software problem as it seems is always the case.

Nordictrack, Proform and a few others are owned by iFit. They pushed an update a few years back that bricked a lot of treadmills and then refused to repair them. I had a Proform treadmill that this happened to. Customer service is impossible to get a hold of and the end result each time is the treadmill is out of warranty. I would stay away from this company.

Thanks a ton for this info. . It's a shame that a company charges so much for a product then pulls stunts like this.

that was Black Friday. I missed the $639 sale plus another $95 off thru slick deals on the T6.5s. I hear that there may be another sale by the end of the year.
