It works better if it's hairloss from the back, especially if you combine it with finasteride.

Frontal hairloss has some growth but not enough to reverse balding, just slow it down (with finasteride)

Slows it down. But if you stop using it, it'll speed back up.

I prefer dutasteride and oral minoxidil. Also use nizoral 2%

My crown lost 95% hair. Should I use this? I've been considering it.

Minoxidil 5% helps slow down hairloss, and primarily around the crown, i.e. top of your head. It doesn't do much for hairline receding on the front. You will still continue losing hair, but at a slower pace. And if you stop using it, the hairloss will accelerate to where it would have been naturally without it. To really arrest MPB, and hopefully allow any thinning hair to regain thickness, you need to pair it with Finasteride. Or preferably Dutasteride if you're able to get it (would be considered off label use for MPB).

I've been using this for a few years and it has helped me with my hair loss. My hair loss was increasingly thinning on the crown.
I've been taking pictures weekly (ever since I started noticing and after starting this) and compared to a few years ago, things are a bit better so it has at least stopped the hair loss and minimal recovery.

It's lame that the shipping charge multiplies for each quantity but this is as low as it goes and not sold in the warehouse (I've only ever seen the much more expensive foam).

FYI, product does say this is primarily for folks with hair loss on the crown vertex and not those with frontal hair loss or receding hairline.

Edit: If you plan to buy multiple, keep in mind that the product expiration date has usually been about 1-year from purchase date in my experience.

My Neurologist recommended this to me for my frontal hair loss. Though my hair loss is because of the side effect of CGRP blocker medicine I take, not naturally. I have been trying for couple of months now. I guess I'll need to keep eye on my hair for longer to be certain on its effects.
