This isn't a bad game exactly, but just keep your expectations grounded appropriately. Aside from a few signs you can read scattered around the world, which tell little snippets of the story of the person who owned the slime ranch before you, and some letters you get from a friend that just talk about events that happened before the game, there is literally no plot. Just collect slimes, sell their drops to build better cages for slimes, unlock new areas with different slimes and more cage areas, rinse and repeat. For $2 it's hard to go too wrong, but there's not a whole lot of replay potential in this game unless you have a high tolerance for repetition.

I picked it up, just to mess around with it. For this price it doesn't really matter if I end up not diggin it. That said, from how you made it sound, one might be better off playing something something with a little more depth, like Stardew Valley for a bit more, if they want a relaxing, "farming" type game like this. Just my interpretation.

It's an okay game for $2. For some reason I bought the second game for $17 and I don't think it's worth that. Just get the first game for now and see if you like it.

Actually a pretty fair interpretation and assessment. I mean, for $2, if you have fun playing it for 1-2 hours, you've probably more than gotten your money's worth, just don't expect something with the depth of Stardew. According to Steam, it took me about 20 hours to unlock and explore all the areas and that includes a fair amount of screwing around setting up different cages for more profitable slimes. There are some post-game things you can do, but I was ready to move on to something else by then.

Fun game. More of a casual-management game; don't expect much combat.

It was a fun game and definitely explored interesting ideas for a farm sim.

I recommend this one. Got it for free on Epic Games a while ago and installed it on a whim. Ended up playing for like 10 hours straight, surprisingly addictive. TBF never picked it up again after that but for $2 seems reasonable
