Weird, I bought a few of the 43" 4K versions of this in 2021 for $99. Why are we back to 1080p?

It's Walmart's response to Target's $99.99 Westinghouse 43" TV (now sold-out) from Sunday. 5% off using RED card brings the price down to $94.99. So, Walmart set the price to $94, beating Target's price by 99 cents difference.

I've had just the opposite experience. I love my Hisense the best and my onn tv isn't bad either. My tcls have very poor picture quality though. Now all my tvs have been Black Friday specials so maybe the high end tcls are better but at least their cheap ones have been crap for me

BTW "Westinghouse" is historical electric company in USA. The whole company has been sold off snd the brand is licensed out. So Westinghouse is literally "no name" tv brand

can confirm ONN and Hisense are 2 brand that are junk. TCL is good, but won't recommend buying from walmart. Insignia is a better brand overall.
I've had ONN and HISENSE brand TVs in my Living Room and Bedroom for years with zero issues. The small 32in TCL tv in my guest room has crazy input lag and crashes all the time. Brand really doesn't mean it's going to be all good. TCL is a good brand but the Series 3 is crap because it's old. You really can't generalize by brand.

Westinghouse is owned and made by Tongfang Global Ltd. in China today, with one USA office located in Eastvale, CA. I am unsure who makes Onn TV today, but it used to be made by Element before. Not anymore now.

The problem I have run into with these inexpensive smart tv's is using an antenna with them. They freeze up when the antenna needs to be adjusted for reception. Then you have to unplug the tv to get it to turn off. I had one eventually stop working altogether. Tried another one and ended up returning it because I knew that it would eventually die on me. Trying to find a regular hdtv is near impossible nowadays. Still using an old one with roku piggyback.

Who cares? If you aren't buying a Sony, LG, or Samsung, everything else is really all the same China components.

Westinghouse 43" comes with a joystick power button with menu at the right rear of the TV, which Onn does not. TV stand legs are further apart in Onn than Westinghouse. That's all I've found so far.

Just look on FB marketplace for a used TV if you have this budget. There are $50 4k TV's all day long my local FB marketplace, and some aren't entry level.

I've only had one ONE tv fail in 30 plus years before the TV was replaced. It was a TCL 6 series and died in 16 months, off warranty.

I mean it's still usable, but probably better to look for a similar used TV which would be even cheaper than buying something like this new.

I have 5 ONN tvs from 32" to 70". Some are 5 years old and still working just fine.

That was fast... Big Grin Now in-store only starting at 6:00 AM. Way better deal than TCL 65" for $228 ($134 more), which fails to sell well or sold out instantly.
