The Roborock Q5 Pro fits between the Q5 Max and Q7 Max in terms of features and performance. The Q5 Pro offers advanced cleaning features like LiDAR navigation, strong suction, and large dustbin capacity (770 ml), making it suitable for larger homes. However, it lacks mopping auto-maintenance features like automatic mop lifting or vibration, which are more common in higher models like the Q7 Max. Additionally, its obstacle avoidance is less sophisticated than other models .
In terms of value, the Q5 Pro performs excellently in cleaning tests, especially on hardwood floors and carpets, but it's more focused on vacuuming than mopping. This makes it ideal for users looking for a powerful vacuum with minimal mopping needs .
If you're choosing between these models:
• Q5 Max is more affordable, offering basic vacuuming features.
• Q5 Pro adds advanced navigation and better cleaning efficiency.
• Q7 Max enhances mopping features with improved water management and mop lifting, making it more versatile.
Your decision depends on whether you prioritize stronger vacuuming or a more balanced vacuum-mop combo.

Does the q5 pro do any mopping at all?

Q5 pro does mop, it's a wet pad behind the vacuum that has water gravity dripping vs the q7 max where you can control how much and when water comes out. The Q5 pro has dual rollers, longer runtime, and bigger dustbin so it's more ideal for vacuuming and pets
Roborock's product lines are such a mess. Saw this and figured it must be better than the Q5 Pro I just purchased, but I think it's objectively worse vacuum.
Single vs. dual roller (the dual roller is great)
4200 vs. 5500 Pa suction
470 vs 770 ml dustbin (a big convenience factor. The 770 ml is itself pretty small in my opinion)
It would appear this model has some small advantages for mopping, if that's important to you. Bigger water tank at expense of dust bin, adjustable water usage. You would probably be better off getting the better vacuum or spending more for one that does the job well with scrubbing action and mop pad lifting for carpets with the dock.
