The DiscoverIt card finally has value this quarter for those that also have Target and Prime 5% cards. (Amazon & Target are Q4 5% categories.)

Edit: I did a chat on discover.com and asked if I could get a retention offer since I was considering cancelling and immediately got offered a bonus 3% extra Cashback for three months effective the next day. Worth a shot to get 8% CB with your Discover card instead of 5!

No. Target GCs do not get a 5% discount using the Red Card. But Discover Card will payback 5% for Target purchases this quarter.

Might be a lil cheaper that route , but if you wanted it now you could use PayPal featured cb 5% for best buy or Walmart paired with another card that gets 5-6% cb .

I ended up going this route and getting $88 off total.

Oh man was a great idea I went to check immediately but seems it's one of the exclusions (this was in "what's excluded" in the details faq on the offer : "Qualifying purchases exclude alcohol, Target GiftCards, Visa, American Express and Mastercard gift cards/prepaid cards, CVS pharmacy, clinic, and Target Optical. Not anymore. PayPals site wide cash back on Walmart and best buy are gone since midnight.

Essentially I connected my us bank shoppers reward card ( 6% in two categories of my choosing and double dipped on cash back . 5% from PayPal 6% from my card
