This is usually $50 on "perpetual" sale. This is the first time I've seen it cheaper than that.

This Eric Cartman chair is nothing special but it's OK. I remember 10-20 years ago when there were real Black Fridays, Staples, Office Max or Depot would often have the faux leather chairs for $10 or $20 each. Those were much better and more comfortable, but the faux leather always flaked off and created a mess after a few years. I ended up putting towels all over those chairs to sit on rather than discard the chairs because this planned obsolescence was annoying. I now swore off faux leather chairs. AFAIK, these less comfortable fabric chairs don't flake off.

I just purchased this one instead. Still a reasonable price but not nearly as many bad reviews on assembly and quality. Just thought it may be another option.

Bought this recently when it was 50. We had the issue where the bolt holes in one of the plastic arms did not line up where it meets the back of the chair, had to use a Dremel to enlarge the hole. We also all agreed that the chair feels like it is dumping you forward in its regular position, I found about an inch thick metal nut around the house and wedged it in underneath the chair where it pivots to stop the seat from coming so far forward. So it's pretty junky but as of now it doesn't feel terrible to sit on. We previously had the Hyken chair that caused hip pain for everyone because of the way the edges of the seat press up into your legs.

People say avoid cheap chairs, but I got a $250 chair for $50 on clearance at Staples years ago and it's not horrible but I've never really liked it and it was definitely only worth $50. Flaking pleather too, of course. I've been looking for a new chair but still haven't decided, there's one for half off/$99 at Office Depot I've been looking at too. One other thing I've found important is that you want the arms to be flat so if you come into the room with something wide you can put it down across the arms without it sliding off. The chair before had arched arms, and I don't remember finding a difference comfort-wise with it, but it was always amazingly annoying that you couldn't put, say, an umbrella, or box full of things you don't want to tip over on it temporarily.

Same; it works and is an upgrade from the chair my work provided but it should at least have holes and screws that fit, which this doesn't in the back without modification

I have to say that their warranty is great. I had a wheel break and they sent me a new entire base with all the wheels. It was easy.

Tracking activity? I copied and pasted the url directly from Staples website. I believe you but that's concerning.

First thing you should do with these Staples chairs is consider upgrading the hard plastic wheels to the softer dual rollerblade style.... Especially if you plan on using this chair on a hard surface floor. The stock wheels can mar the coating on some hardwood.

I.e https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

I upgraded a Hyken's wheels instead of returning the chair... best ~$20 I've spent in 2024.
