Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
The items ring up pro-rated and you can return some of it to make a better deal.
So, for example, if you get this $199 set and pick a "free" $199 tool it will ring up as 2x $99.50 items. Then you can return one or the other.
Pricing is different for different prices "free" tools, you can put stuff in your Home Depot cart and see the pro-rated prices before checkout.
Same deal has been at Lowe's (Might be a couple different tools, I haven't checked)
Big thing with this is it's EASILY hackable at Home Depot (can do pickup at two different stores or return unwanted items), Lowe's is hackable but IN STORE ONLY and requires doing a return.

Edited to clarify a bit...
It is hackable at HD, somewhat was a response to the first comment on Acme Tools. People seem to have mixed reviews on Acme and unless the price is less and you want both items there's no reason to buy from them.
Make sure they both have the same type of delivery - can't combine shipped/ship to store/pickup - they both need to be the same method, even if they're going to different stores.

Thanks! For some reason my closest store didn't have the $199 price. Set my location to a different store and it worked! Great deal.
The Home Depot[homedepot.com] has DeWalt 20V MAX Lithium-Ion 6.0Ah and 4.0Ah Battery and Charger Starter Kit + FREE Bonus Tool for $199. Shipping is free.
I must be anchoring on pre COVID prices when the good rate was $10/Ah. This is 2x that and seems like not a good deal. Unless you need the free tool and it rerails bare for substantially more than $100

The real deal is to 'hack' this one, get the discount on the tools.
The router FP's around $120, this deal has it for an effective $104

Good rate is still $10/ah on most batteries.
This basically will come to $100 for 10ah worth of batteries, plus $100 for a tool.
Slightly different with different tools, just a general example. You're not only getting 10ah of batteries for $200, you get a tool & charger as well...

Tempted to grab a few tools, but I have enough batteries currently. (Router and circular)

Is Amazon.com: Dewalt DCB246CK 20V MAX XR Lithium-Ion Batteries and Fast Charger Starter Kit (4 Ah/6 Ah... [amazon.com] the same thing except for $158? I think the model id is missing a zero, I do not know if that matters.
eBay has them for less too, I think.
