It will remove the CVT and throw it in the trash? What a steal!

It won't hurt anything. The CVT is already trash. It's probably just a viscosity enhancer like every generic oil additive fix in a bottle.

If you are already having issues with it what do you have to lose?

Eight more dollars and the time making a frustrating trip to Autozone with a fried CVT transmission.

I don't need this (or even know what a cvt is), but I agree with this. My infiniti had a blown head gasket and took it a few places with quotes back for basically a new or rebuilt engine for anywhere from $7-10k which for an old car, wasn't worth it at all.. I broke down and just used the head gasket repair crap while I looked for a new (to me) car... couldn't find anything I was interested in and now it's been about a year and a half since then and it's still going. So yeah, agree that it can't hurt to try if the alternative is something that can't be repaired anyway. These aren't permanent fixes, but might give you the time you need to come up with alternatives and not be rushed into any quick decisions.
