I was hesitant too until I learned that….

…I can get "FREE" $1-10 past gen games like COD MW 2019 on Xbox One for $5 (seriously!) AND the free monthly $5 reward PAID for that.

Repeat the purchase for other cheap games, Pokemon card, tee shirts etc for 2 more months to break even, and you come up ahead for the remaining 9 months assuming you're going to buy more.

The only caveat I can think of regarding free $5 monthly rewards is that the filler cheap games aren't great to choose from. however as long you can find something for less than $24.99 it great. Mario Oddysey for $24.99 pre owned, 22.99 for pro member. Use that $5 reward to bring it down to $17.99

It worth it IMO. Just sharing one decent benefit and pardon my grammar

I won't debate those of you who say are still getting gaming platforms credits/ gift cards (MS, PS, Nintendo, etc.), but corporate disabled those SKU numbers from being able to use the $5 monthly reward.

There is no way you are getting those done these days, so please do not spread misinformation and get people to sign up for this membership for that reason alone.

Just ran out from last year's black friday. Renewed as I have a massive gift card from my PS4 trade in and I'm betting I'll be buying a Switch 2 this year.

Same qn - I thought they stopped letting us buy XBox Digital credit (or any digital credit for that matter) in-store either, for a year now. Has that come back?

I let my subscription expire because physical stores were becoming more and more difficult to trade the $5 credit for Xbox $. Some stores claimed it can't be done anymore. Others were like 'yeah man we got you'!

I had this about two years ago and I was able to go in store, give them my phone number, and get a printed receipt with a $5 Xbox/MS Store credit on it each month. You basically made money off of the subscription

Seems like they don't do it anymore for eShop credit but I can still get MS Store credit, correct?

I'm signing up just to buy past gen games for CHEAP. Mario Oddysey for $18 used currently is a great price vs new for $30 lol
