…I can get "FREE" $1-10 past gen games like COD MW 2019 on Xbox One for $5 (seriously!) AND the free monthly $5 reward PAID for that.
Repeat the purchase for other cheap games, Pokemon card, tee shirts etc for 2 more months to break even, and you come up ahead for the remaining 9 months assuming you're going to buy more.
The only caveat I can think of regarding free $5 monthly rewards is that the filler cheap games aren't great to choose from. however as long you can find something for less than $24.99 it great. Mario Oddysey for $24.99 pre owned, 22.99 for pro member. Use that $5 reward to bring it down to $17.99
It worth it IMO. Just sharing one decent benefit and pardon my grammar

I bought one disc drive for the PS5 Pro prior to preorder date. When I bought the 30th slim, I said meh I will buy one once it delivers.
I was unaware scalpers would be zeroing in on that product.
I have been battling scalpers and bots since trying to get another drive. I refuse to buy from a scalper.
I did finally get a disc drive from Target last night.
However, if I were a GS Pro then this could have saved me weeks of grief as they had it in stock back then for Pros. I didn't want to pay $25 for the membership but for $15 I am in.
I assume GS will continue to lock items behind the GS Pro membership.
With the next gen Nintendo projected to come out in 2025 then that might be easier buy and avoid scalpers.
Then there is the rumored black portal and edge.

I went to GameStop today just to see how their Black Friday was sale...it was basically non-existent. Oh wow, $10 Pops. 30% already-expensive toys and plushes, B2G1 on pre-owned games but won't work with your monthly coupon since it's multiple items. They've really gone downhill.

TLDR version: I used my trade credit and bought a PS5 Pro for pick up, GameStop cancelled my order and my refund credit is still somewhere around the earth 15 days later and I lost all my GameStop points and reward
