lots of different things here to guess what "this" is, but assuming it is either item in the title, ill give a qualified no. For skiing you want your outer layer to be waterproof. not just insulating.. its also ideal to have something ski/snowboard specific as it has a few features that others dont. namely a snow skirt to keep snow from coming up underneath your jacket when you fall, as well as a hood that fits over a helmet, and a sleeve pocket for the annoying rfid ski passes that get scanned at the lifts.

personally, ill never buy a mountain hardwear item again. the past handful of items ive bought had major issues like seam stitching falling apart, fabric delamination, zippers failing, etc. its basically on par with amazon no name brands. and the return/warranty process is a royal pain.

Never heard of this brand. Is it similar to The North Face or Patagonia? I will only wear it for status. I dont care about warmth. Thanks
