Website claims Thermopro, but pictures show knockoff brand "Thermpro"
You're suggesting BestBuy is selling a knockoff product? And, more importantly, before throwing out that kind of accusation perhaps it would be a good idea to go to the manufacturer's web site and look at the logo on their products if you aren't familiar with them. Spoiler: Not a knockoff.

My bad, didn't read the description. Was thinking of another brand.

This is a knockoff product. The real brand is ThermoWorks. ThermoPro is a deliberate attempt to confuse consumers, the popular ThermoWorks product is a ThermoPen.

Don't buy this garbage, go buy a ChefAlarm. It's cheaper anyway.

I'm not sure why a wired solution would be desirable... most of us don't cook professionally, and the wireless options work surprisingly well. What am I missing out on?

ThermoPro has been around and selling stuff on Amazon for at least a decade now. It's not super high end stuff, but it's decent and not pretending to be another brand.

I used their TP7 that's a few years old to monitor the Thanksgiving turkey this year and it came within a couple degrees of my lavatools javalin when spot checking, so it's good enough for me.

Wireless are not instant, so not that helpful for cooking with high heat. Causes overcooking.
