I wore one pair of these every day for about 6 months straight. For the first few months I hand washed/dried and treated these things like gold. I wanted to test them out. I wanted to wear them out. After about 3 months I got lazy and just starting throwng them in the wash with everything else. I couldn't kill them. Summer came and I eased up on my daily wear but come October of this year they went back on my feet regularly. I'm wearing them now.
They have held up superbly. There are a few thin spots and if you turn them inside out you can get some piling that tou can pull out. A few stray threads from probably just throwing them in the wash too but no holes. They also don't stay "up" as well as new.
These are mid weight. I still have a heavy weight pair from the deal I have only worn a few times hunting. My feet actually got colder with the heavy weight then the mid weight because being thick my shoes/boots are tighter fitting. I;m going to get a couple new pair of midweight and think I may be good on socks for life...lol...seriously. The wife will also be treated to a couple this year.
PS- I will continue my quest to kill my original pair so I can test the guarantee.

If you haven't worn DT, I highly recommend giving them a try. Lifetime replacement too; just pay shipping.
To everyone scoffing at $30 socks, Marshalls tj maxx has 2nd quality darn tough socks often for $6-12 per pair although they don't have a lifetime warranty but they have been just as good for me as full price pairs

I actually find smart wool a little more comfortable, and they don't shrink as bad when dried time after time. That's what I mostly wear for normal hikes that don't last 6 months. 😂
