This would add ~95 games to my backlog and I may play 2? IN41!

PS here were the options from this year with 8 of the months going Frontpage.

Redeemed on my existing membership with no issues. I know a lot of people badmouth the bundle but for ~$8/mo you always get your money's worth unless you're the type of gamer who sticks with one or two games a year. I really like the bundle plan because it exposes me to a lot of good games I wouldn't have tried out because of the cost.

Wrong! The best bang for the buck is always buying one month as needed (when you are a huge fan of the games being offered for the month). Otherwise you will surely be let down more than 50% of the time. Don't ever buy annual when you can pick and choose the month you want. Cheers

You get the 20% off humble store discount after being subscribed for multiple months. That discount stacks with humble store sales. I do most of my Steam shopping through the humble store because of that discount. Sure, the humble choice months can be hit or miss, but that membership discount adds a lot of value.

Hit or miss… hit is less than 50% of the time. No need to justify your poor use of money on being subscribed. You'll never save enough to break even or come out on top sadly

Such a weird post and also completely wrong. I've more than gotten my value out of the humble membership, only I can speak for myself. Hit or miss less than 50% of the time is completely your own opinion.

What a weird/awful take. Buying the annual has never made it so you can't pause your membership for a month if you don't like the offerings. If you only pause 50% of the time, annual is worth it. If you pause 80% of the time or so, an annual may not be worth it, mostly due to the fact that you need to remember to pause your subscription 4/5 months.

edit: what a weird nonsensical guy. If you only want 8 months out of the next 12 months for choice, you can choose to not even skip and still pay the same (okay $3 more + tax) with this annual choice discounted subscription than 8 monthlies and you get 40 free games that you can give to a friend or something.

"May not be worth it" - I see those words and I agree. Weird take how you think pausing is fun for a majority of the time and then you forget to pause for a month then get owned.

Since 2012 with the help of Humble my backlog sits at 3200 just on steam. Humble has gone to hell since IGN bought them, predictably.

Is there a time limit on redeeming the gift?

Actually forgot I bought an annual on discount last year and renewed another early no discount this year. Was thinking stocking up for next year.

This comes down to personal preference.

If $8 every month is worth a pause to someone, and one's picky about what games are picked up every month to maximize value, then subscription isn't worth it. When I was money poor, I'd spend hours to pick and choose the best deals. It gave me joy and satisfaction.

Now that I've more money but less time, spending hours combing for deals isn't as worthwhile.

I want to say, that it's very enriching to explore and try games you wouldn't otherwise. One might be surprised! Gamepass was great for that, and Humble does the same. I've always wanted to try Lamplighter's league (or the relaxing Jusant from previous month), but would've never bought for myself.

Finally, I'm not a fan of needlessly consumerism in real space. But digital items take up no additional room, and this being so cheap, it has good value to me (and perhaps to you). As another said, the 20% discount is significant, and I do look to purchase new titles on Humble with the discount. There are also reputable people trading your extra keys -- last month I traded Remnant 2 for multiple games just via Slickdeals and Steam, though watch for scammers.

So if you get this deal, you are an annual sub, do you just activate this next month (I already have Nov 2024 claimed)... It'll just claim the gift as currency? What about my annual sub? do I cancel, so it won't auto charge me at end of Dec 2024? Also, if I cancel, how do I still get 20% discount?! or better yet, can someone please explain on how I should claim this $99 deal and keep my 20% discount? lol
