darn it. I've just received the pocket3 from Sam's. It has battery handle and 128 GB microSD but no mini tripod.

This seems to be a better deal with the Tripod vs a 64gb boost on the SD card (IMO). That being said - Sams Club had 12% CB (not sure if it will apply)

just bought this a week ago and action 5 on release date. Pros and cons to each but the main difference imo is pocket 3 video is more cinematic and beautiful and low light performance is just WOW. but If I had to choose one, I choose Action 5 for convenience and that I don't have to be super careful with it

I currently have the original Osmo Pocket and still works after 5 years of use. it isn't something you can simply toss onto ground or let it expose to water. As long as you don't abuse it, it is fine.

The only downside to the pocket 3, and it's pretty minor, is that it takes a moment for the lens to flip open and when you're done shooting you can't just put it down. Kind of annoying if you're used to using other action cams/your cellphone for shooting.

The other thing I've noticed is the lens keeps flipping open in my bag which makes me worried it'll get scratched even when it's in its case. I 3d printed a cover for the case and that fixes the issue but makes it one more thing I need to carry around.

Yeah, that's what I'm trying to figure out. I wish they sold the creator combo accessories as a separate bundle.

I did the math, this seems to be a good deal. Normally Creator Combo is $669. This bundle is $400, then you need to add the wide angle lens ($38 Amazon) and DJI Mic 2 (Amazon $100). Total comes out to: $538. So you save about $131. You don't get the case but instead you get a 64gb micro SD.
