No info on the keyboard. Looks like it's the old Pro keyboard and not the new Pro Flex keyboard. Still a decent deal.

Not related to this deal but I just wanted to say my old surface pro sucked. Microsoft literally bricked the keyboard, I had to use an external fan to prevent overheating and lastly, I lost wifi and Bluetooth. Not worth the premium price.
This is an ARM Snapdragon not one of the old inefficient Intel procs. Different game (at least in heat and time). I dont know how you brick a keyboard tho. Keep in mind the cake will need to bake on this because it is ARM it will be a time (like the M1 mac) were apps will need to be targeted toward the platform and well there are many apps that will never be native.
Intel just came out w/ new x86 processors (Core Ultra 2) that may make more sense in the near term because there is no translation layer and have similar long power time.

This is a good warning that this is ARM.

But the cake baking is going to be a tough guess. It could happen, it could also not happen.

The issue with the PC space is; any commitments towards transitioning from x86-64 (current AMD/Intel) to ARM (this laptop deal) is going to have to start from the business sector down; not consumer market and up.

That being said, if most of your workload is on the web - these laptops are great. Chrome, Firefox, or whatever - most of these have ARM native versions. And lets be real, most people are doing most of their day and work on the web.

If you're getting this assuming this WILL get support from steam, play games like League of Legends and Rocket League as seamlessly as your intel or AMD powered desktop... that's not on the horizon just yet.

This is just (probably) a really good ARM machine for the web. Like a better chromebook.

I was happy that many things worked like PIA VPN and etc on ARM

but then Citrix app protection did not work and there is no native citrix port so I returned my surface pro 11. Others will find it working because App protection may not be turned on in their work profile. This is a documented issue and my work setup happened to require it.

the device ran well as a windows machine for my other apps

ran so-so as an iPad M4 replacement - just not as fast and not as fluid experience with the apps and gestures.

a key app such as citrix workspace isn't ported is yet another red flag that this adoption will be very slow. M1 ran much better even under emulation. I don't recall testing citrix on early days of M1.

my overall experience was documented in this post after I tried it for a week https://slickdeals.net/f/17894079-costco-black-friday-microsoft-surface-laptop-13-8-copilot-pc-qualcomm-snapdragon-x-plus-10-core-2304-x-1536-touchscreen-windows-11-16gb-ram-1tb-ssd-899-99?p=174010458#post174010458. It was bit of a ramble when I typed it while riding the train!

Don't expect to play games with this. I wish Microsoft would have an Intel ultra series 2 version of surface pro.

Is this the LTE version? Page doesn't make it clear, it says it comes with a sim ejector and sim tray, but LTE is optional. Is it included?

Can anyone tell if that's the keyboard that can operate standalone? Picture looks like it is and also like it includes the pen.
