Well that's close… most laptops can accept up to 60-65w. However this will likely work fine as the laptop will receive enough power to both power the machine and charge the laptop battery at less than it's max rated speed

The video outs are display port not HDMI..... make sure your monitor can accept display port. I bought this a couple months back and returned it because I could not get it to work with my monitors.

Will this work with the Macbook Air M2 chip? As far as multiple displays?
AFAIK M2 can only support 1 external monitor. So any dock that can display to two monitors would have an unusable second port.
From Apple's website:
"Your MacBook Air can support one external display with up to 6K resolution at 60 Hz or 4K resolution at 144 Hz. Connect the display to a Thunderbolt / USB 4 port."
"When you want even more space to work, MacBook Air with M3 chip can support up to two external displays when the laptop lid is closed. The primary display can support up to 6K resolution at 60 Hz or 4K resolution at 144 Hz, and the secondary display can support up to 5K resolution at 60 Hz or 4K resolution at 100 Hz."
I love my Kensington SD5600T and its 6 USB 2.0/3.0 ports so much I bought two. Tough sell here with just 3. A keyboard, mouse and headset and you're done...
The USB-C backwards compatibility is fantastic though, works perfectly on a non-thunderbolt ITX build.
I grabbed one as grabbed a used hp g2 dock the other day from local McKay's so will try this one out as well. Easy returns both ways and if not still got my usb to DisplayPorts. Just want a low cost one cable solution.

Your MacBook will only work with dock that use wavelink or display link technologies, which will be heavily advertised if the dock has such and needs extra drivers. Even with such technologies the monitor will always be sluggish at least for once a while if not every minute. It's usable in best scenarios for office purpose but is way, way more inferior than the native video out. Forget 120hz support - sluggish.
The best strategy is simply sell it and buy max series. I need 3 monitors for my work and have been struggling with an air for years before moving to a max. Or a Mac mini with m4.
Yeah I know someone with an M1 and they got a displaylink dock. He said it essentially sets up a permanent screen recording session and feeds it to the external display. He said for work it's not horrible, a little laggy on occasion but for Jira/spreadsheets/email it works just fine.

"Thunder Dock" was my college nickname.
