If you do work on your cars, I'd go with 3/8". Most parts that the average person works on with their car will be in the lower socket range (~8-21mm) and 3/8 (sockets, extensions, etc) will fit in tighter spaces.
If you strictly just swap rims, then 1/2" and a torque wrench is fine.

Yes, the new gen2 model. The difference between the two is the anvil size. 2562 is the 3/8" and 2563 is the 1/2".

If you are the kind of person that doesn't work on cars, I would suggest a last gen model to hopefully save some money (marketplace, HD Hack, etc) and a torque wrench.
