is this a good deal? is the difference btwn the arc and the beam significant? these 100s seem old?can't decide if this package beats just getting an arcedit: quick google search suggests that using the 100s as surround would lead to an audio delay
100s are among the newest Sonos speakers (they are the refresh of super popular sonos one). I have no idea what audio delay people talk about but I have a Sonos surround and there is no perceptible delay and I am using the IKEA Symfonisk speakers as backs (which should be much worse than era 100s although for surround backs it really doesn't matter). I do have an ARC though.
I would say for actual surround beam plus two eras beats an ARC but buying an ARC now and buying two backs from say ikea for 70-80$ each in a year will be a better option. Also if you only want one speaker arc is individually much better than beam.

yeah. Have used one Ones before as surrounds and replaced them with era 100's. No delay. Only thing I can think of is if people just didn't pair them correctly as a set.
And yes the era 100's are part of their new set of speakers.

Thinking of upgrading from ones to era 100s as rear surrounds. Do you recommend this upgrade? Any noticeable difference? I have beam gen 2.

I personally thought it was an upgrade. Feels better to me at least. The cost of the speakers didn't seem too bad for me so I just thought to myself I can move the ones to other rooms.

does this soundbar generate bass? I'm looking for a setup for my apartment with this ass walls and just need something that plays some bass, I'm not looking for intense thumping. So far I was leaning on the Bose Ultra which does bass but I would need to keep checking their refurbished page in hopes of the rear speakers showing up. This however would be a much cheaper option for me even if buying all refurbished Bose.
If you are in this price range try to find the Samsung Q990 which includes a sub and has been rated to have the best sound around from a sound bar setup
