Bought the DLHC5502V last month when my dryer control board died, wish I could have waited, but needed a dryer. So far no issues with it, it does build up a fine dust on the condenser fins that makes it past the first two filters and isn't removed by the condenser care mode that sprays water on the fins. Hopefully the build up doesn't get too bad, it's not big chunks of lint like the other combo heat pump units get but it's not as clean as a lot of the reviews have you believe. There is definitely more work cleaning the lint trap than other dryers as it's a more complex trap.

Uses about half the electricity as my old dryer, I have cheap power so the break even point over a cheap electric one is like 7 years out.

I thought it was going to make my laundry room cold since I thought it would suck the heat out of the room but it's the opposite, it makes it hotter than my older dryer because it doesn't vent the hot air outside, it just builds up in the room.

Dry times are longer but it's not too bad unless it's towels or bedding, usually only about 20 min longer than my old dryer but towels and bedding is like 1.5 hours longer.

Would I get it again? I would if I lived somewhere with expensive power, where I am now, probably not.

Delivery from LG was ok, they didn't do anything terrible but they tried to just leave it in my driveway and I had to convince them that I paid to have them bring it into the room.

Go add the dryer from the post to your cart, the default free shipping option is literally called "in-home delivery" right on the order page, there is no option for driveway delivery, the other option is installation. Here's a pic if you don't believe me, also notice it says placed in room of your choice: https://i.imgur.com/y4dXmC8.jpeg

This is LGs definition of in home delivery from their website:

Major Appliances can be shipped via In-Home Delivery option, which includes delivery only. The carrier will arrive within a time window of your choosing and place the item in the preferred room of your home or office. Fees apply. See here: https://members.us.lg.com/store/p...e=delivery

So there is no mistake that they are supposed to bring it inside, I would challenge you to read the details of what a company offers instead of saying that it probably doesn't say that.

Perfect timing for me. I was in market for heat pump dryer and washer and this deal is a god sent. My total cost for a was 1271 after tax. This includes additional 3 year warranty on both washer(WM6500HBA) and dryer(DLHC5502V).
And by using PayPal and chase freedom I got another 5% cashback along with LG rewards of 16.75. I also got another 200$ LG rinse credits (Not sure of the real dollar value).
Thanks a lot.

Thanks OP. Ended up around $1000, for DLHC1455W and WM1455HWA. With a stackable 15% discount code I had. Awesome deal!

Does anyone have experience with compact washers? I'm looking at the 2.4cu. Noise, performance, vibration?

Thanks!!

The order page says LG premium care is one additional year for $1, not two additional years.

Also you want to use the thinQ app to get another year of warranty. After receiving and linking your machines, google thinQ warranty and use site to claim the warranty.

A quick instant chat, maybe 5 min total, got me a 12% discount on WT8400CW/DLE8400WE. Not a heat pump model but $1122 delivered/installed after all discounts (including $100 for trade-ins) and taxes with 3 year extended warranties on both. That's before amex and possible, though unlikely, additional cashback.

Just said that a "friend" who purchased recently said that chat gave them an additional discount code and I wondered if they could do the same for me.

For heat pump technology, I'm confused with an all in one unit vs 2 separate units. Thought you want a single unit to have more convenience and space? What are the pros and cons?

Heat pump is just a way of moving heat around. You can have an all in one resistive or gas heated version.
