If I could edit I'd try to make it look better, add images, and remove the price repetition. Maybe someone else will post the deal.

I was looking for these exact features at this price point, except I'll be replacing the SSD with 2tb drives.

If so I certainly didn't see it. Every model I saw was a slower processor and/or a 4060, or 4080/4090 out of my budget. I did see some certified refurbished come through that sold out belfore I got a look.

i have the 4080 version of this

Here is what to do:
First thing to do is to remove the pre-installed antivirus and just go with windows defender and the the free malwarebytes... its all you need. Next thing to do is check for updates in the vantage app, update (I dont recommend bios updates) and then uninstall the vantage app. The next thing to do is download Lenovo Legion toolkit here:
https://github.com/BartoszCicheck...ionToolkit
That is essentially Vantage but uses much less resources.
The next thing to do is type "Startup Apps" in the search bar in windows 11.
Disable everything except the realtek audio driver and the windows security notifications.
Reboot..
Next update your geforce drivers (open geforce experience).
Next, install the xbox app and xbox accessories app if you are an xbox controller user and gamepass user.
Next, go into nvidia control panel and make sure in the settings that power management mode says "Maximum performance"
Next, make sure enable G-sync is selected for the laptop display in nvidia control panel.
Next, download steam, gog, and epic games and make sure to get your free weekly epic games.
next, if you are gamepass user, download the Hellblade 2 to test your system, its a next-gen game that looks insane on this laptop. Some games are crashing with RTX ray tracing enabled (Witcher 3 for example).
next, go ahead and type startup apps again and disable anything except the mentioned above..
next, disable fast startup (will get rid of hiccups in games)...
https://www.windowscentral.com/so...%20startup
Lastly, remember to user the FN-Q keyboard command often... if you are not gaming, make sure the power light is on blue...
getting the bottom off to upgrade the nvme is a pain in the you know what.. hardest laptop ever... youtube it first...

Your github link doesn't work, but this is great advice for any laptop and not just the Lenovo's!

I want to buy this laptop, but from your comments, I see that it's not a good price. Do you recommend buying it for $1499 before taxes? Or is it better to wait for Cyber Monday and look for another deal?

But it has a 14th generation Core i9, 2TB of storage, 32GB of RAM, doesn't that seem like a good deal to you?

The costco deal seems better value
https://slickdeals.net/f/17916318-costco-lenovo-legion-5i-16-1600p-165hz-i9-14900hx-rtx-4060-32-gb-ram-1tb-ssd-1-399-300-1-099?v=1
Yes it's not 4070 but from what I read, the bigger jumpoff is 4060 to 4080 than to 4070. 2 tb HD is nice but I don't think the extra 400 is worth the HD and slightly upgraded graphics card... and costco has one more year warranty.
I got the costco deal. Now if cyber Monday comes and there's something with 4080 thats 1300 then I might return costco but other than that I am content.

No? Avg gamer on 4070 does not need i9 cpu. Also 2TB is actually 1TB x2. Lenovo just crammed in bunch of hardwares that they didn't sell this year with barely any markdown and wants to make you think it is a deal.

No don't buy it, this one was around $1250 a couple days ago and even then I didn't find it very appealing, it was the same model except for the extra 1tb nvme on these, you shouldn't pay more than 1000 for 4060 laptop, 1200 for 4070. the tiny 8GB Vram is the dealbreaker.

Ordered this on Black Friday and they canceled my order Dec 5. contacted customer service and they passed me around without resolving the issue. I ordered from them before with no problem but this time it was inconvenient because I missed the deal without them giving me a definite reason for cancelling my order.
