If you buy a low-end Fluance, I would suggest the only way it is better or worse than this Denon will depend on your speakers and your personal preferences which are of course subjective when it comes to audio.
As I mentioned before, this Denon has a replaceable cartridge, that's really where most of your sound quality is coming from if you go far enough down the rabbit hole...

I'm not a Sonos user but given that you can choose whether or not to use the pre-amp, I guarantee you you can connect, it's just a question of how. Turntable has R/L RCA output connections. You might need to buy an adapter to plug into your Sonos... Again, not a Sonos user.
For what it's worth, this is a great budget turntable and I got it at this price 5 years ago so given inflation I'd say it's a good deal.
The cartridge is replaceable as well, allowing for additional upgrades.

a used connect is the cheaper option, but you'll have to make sure you get a s2 since the s1 will not work with the s2 sonos app. the serial numbers on the connect will let you know which is an s1 vs s2. i can't remember right now but a google or reddit search will turn up what you need to look for. that's also a good way to find an s2 for cheap from someone who didn't list it as an s2 or doesn't know what they have.
tyvm!

Once I'm done playing the record through the living room system, I think it reverts back to TV or you can set it back to TV in the Sonos app as the source for the sound.

It's not fully automatic, but does have a "needle drop button" so you can set it where you want and then press.
Maybe I'm too cautious but doing it all by hand made me nervous.

function is not ideal. TT do stop the motor from spinning but it doesn't lift the tonearm up. That makes the needle sit on record until you put the tonearm back to armrest. That's bad for both stylus and also the lp.
Even my 1978 Technics SL5100 will lift the tonearm and stop the motor.
