I have this, it's a good blower for the average homeowner and with the battery this is a very good price

I've given away anything gas (especially 2 stage) that doesn't have electric start (ie snow blower), and bought a Ryobi 40V mower this summer. Nothing makes me quite as happy as pulling on a starter cord for a machine with a wonky carb until I dislocate my shoulder.

I currently have an 18V which is rate at 410 CFM 110 MPH which is a little too weak for my need, so this is probably just marginally better?
It's 30% more air volume and 10% more air speed. I think you'd probably notice a pretty significant boost. I've found anything less than 500 CFM just doesn't juggle wet maple leaves very well and the higher air speed will push them further along their way.

No trips to the store for gas or maintenance, I don't understand someone will willingly go gas when electric could do the job.
Gas just scales much better. The larger your yard, the less you find batteries are a good fit. Batteries also go bad, and they're very expensive.

I get ethanol free gas when I need to fuel my car, anyway. I buy 10 gallons at a shot which lasts me half a season. Stabalizer keeps it fresh. Most of my maintenance supplies I buy online and they come to me. At the end of the season, I run the small engines dry and dump the leftover gas into the car. Oil change on the riding mower and maintenance for everything else is done in an afternoon once a year. Since I buy the right gas I rarely have to change fuel lines or carburetors.

Electric is OK. I can trim my hard with a 40v 4ah and a 2ah. I can trim the shrubs on a couple 4ah and do some light tree work on a 4ah. But it's really not great for edging vs. a gas trimmer. My big maple trees make leaf management more than I'd like for electric blower but the rest of the year they would be fine.

Thanks! I decided to place an order and give it a try based on your feedback!

Do you mean it's not 18 volt? The battery works with all 40 volt tools…

Not brushless. Brushless more efficient and powerful ,and better designed than brushed motors.

All true. And, brushless is much more $$$. Burn this one up and buy another one next year and you're still ahead.

Which system do you want to buy into and grow as you get more tools? I'm all-in with Ryobi (both 18 and 40V) and have enough batteries piled up that switching makes no sense for me.

So I'm leaning towards grabbing this one for $100 even if it is brushed and not whisper series, mostly cause I'm cheap. Anyone think this one is worth jumping on instead (for the batteries, if nothing else):

Get it. I have had an 18v whisper blower for 2 years just got the 730cfm one and it's way better.

I live on 4 wooded acres, and electric is fine for everything except the mower IMO. I do have a gas riding mower.

I use Ryobi 40V brushless stuff - 2 leaf blowers, trimmer, pole saw, 18" and 14" chainsaw, auger, etc. It all handles it just fine.

But for a mower, I agree. There's just way too many batteries and recharging would be a pain in the neck. Plus they're overpriced, the gas rider cost 1/3 what most battery mowers cost.

I meant to remind people that it's a different type of battery than the recent deals like recip saw, jigsaw, drills, etc deals with ONE+ or HP lines.
This is beefier than those but incompatible. A lot of people buy different tools under same brand to keep compatible batteries so wanted to remind this is a different line than ONE+

I've already got one. At this price I may get another and play Edward Blower Hands.
