The Lunar Lake 2 w/ the best-in-the-game 500-nit, 120Hz LED screen at 2880x1880 is a way better computer than this for $200 more from Best Buy, picked one up and it's mind-bogglingly good. I've never had a Windows laptop where I could actually be happy using the keyboard and trackpad for extended periods of time. This thing FUQS
Do you have a link for this? What brand is it?

Most likely this one:

16gb of ram is my hesitation point. I wonder if a good 258v laptop will show up between now and the end of the year at or below $1K.

That's the one, thanks. The build quality and fit and finish are pretty fantastic. I even like the external design. I've traditionally hated Lenovo products, so this is a weird joy for me, but still absolutely adoring this laptop. I'm appearing to get 20 hours of battery life just streaming video, GPT, Google Docs-ing, and web browsing, mind fully blown

For that you don't need 32 GB ram, but for me the Lenovo screen it's better but smaller, Dell it's bigger and heavier, depends what you want

For me screen size is important since I am coming from a 17" HP from 2 years ago (hinge broke). Is the Dell that I linked a good laptop if I am okay with it being heavy?

I would jump on the,HP (but that was me, if I needed bigger size, because sometimes I play and has better VGA) but in your case wouldn't do any difference on the VGA(unless you need a touch one)

Why Lenovo why? No fingerprint?
Everything else looks good, I wish they had a fingerprint reader too.

MSI warranties their power supplies only for 6 months irrespective of the Laptop/system warranty. Just an FYI which I learned the hard way.

I hate to ask this, but I just bought this HP from Costco for $899. I'm buying it for my daughter who will be going to college next year and I want her to have something capable. In addition to her studies, she likes to draw and make little animations that she's primarily done on a galaxy tab 6 lite. I was hoping to get her something that has a little oomph in case she decides to try a bit more in that respect. The HP is 100 bucks more than this, but has an extra terabyte of storage and a screen that's 2 inches larger. It's got a discrete graphics card but I don't know if the mx570 is better than Intel Arc. Additionally, I think this Lenovo has a better CPU (H series v. U series), but I'm not sure. What do y'all think, what am I missing on this?

Not a good price for the dell. The machine is very capable but just a few days ago dell had Inspiron 16 2n1 with ultra 7 155H 16GB for $700 or less.
