Don't forget how they used to give us the 18.6 ounce cans too as the norm but we see lot of these 16.1 ounce cans now. I stocked up on a ton of them during a Stop and Shop sale and they were the big 18.6 ounce cans. It is what it is with Chunky and Progresso soups. They are both good though and I do enjoy them.

I also have a 10% coupon on all these soups and others, including a number of 12 packs of 18.8oz cans that come to exactly the same price per ounce. If you have the coupon, just click on "Shop items".

Done with them. We used to like the Chicken Pot Pie one, but hadn't had them in a few years. Bought a couple cans last week and we struggled to find any chicken at all.

I wish companies would just raise prices if they need to, instead of making their products worse. Or in many cases, doing both.

I love how "healthy" still have 33% of your daily sodium intake. And that's in the "new" smaller sized cans as well.

It sucks they use seed oils and carrageenan (carcinogen). There is no need to add that crap to soups.

Holy smokes, I hope there is a deal soon on tissues to dry all of these tears. It's canned soup, people, if it's too pricey, or too salty, or not organic enough - don't buy it. You don't need to keep us posted on every calculation you made in deciding whether or not to buy SOUP.

Haha, "shrinkflation" does suck though. Hopefully there is a good deal on a double pack!

Umm. You are the only one freaking out about soup. I still happily buy chunky soup sales because they are still worth it and I enjoy them. If one doesn't notice food inflation prices and food shrinkflation, he is the oblivious fool. No offense to you.

Canned soup is still food. Duhh. People spend lot of money on canned soup over time. Just like eggs, meat, fast food, etc.. A couple dollars more here and there add up to lot in the long run. You must be living under a rock to not notice food inflation and food shrinkflation.

My point wasn't about shrinkflation, or whatever your cause of the day is. You can buy or not buy this for whatever reasons you are comfortable with. My complaint was that this thread is 90% people crying about their particular reasons...salt, can size, how to define a case (LOL), what the CEO posted on social media, etc. It's an awful lot of emotion for soup. I don't care about this deal, I'm not buying, I'm not voting - I just saw all of these posts flash by on SD Live and I thought to myself - what on earth has people so worked up that this stupid soup deal is an active thread?

It is probably worth pointing out to consumers that the can size has gotten smaller. The rest of it just feels not particularly helpful or on topic. And yes, now my complaint about the whining is also not helpful or on topic to the deal.

It is called chicken noodle soup and ALL chicken broths are going to be high in sodium. It is impossible to find low sodium broth. Your homemade soup will have far more sodium, It is what it is. You aren't supposed to eat the entire soup can too. The servings are really 2 servings per soup can. I never eat the entire soup can in one meal. If one wants to be healthy and be in good shape, portion control matters along with exercise.

Read what you wrote. You literally put posters quotes about shrinkflation like cans from 12 to 8, can size shrinking to like 15% and less meat ingredients into your rant post... Then you literally say "My point wasn't about shrinkflation....". Hahaha. 3 out of 5 posts were about shrinkflation.
