I have the Yamaha A-S1100. Built like a tank and weighs almost 50 lbs.
Mine has meters on the front but other than that, not sure there's much difference.

If memory serves me correctly, I paid almost 3 times this sale price back in 2018. So this seems like a steal. She still works perfectly and is my daily driver. Highly recommend the Yamaha A-S series amps.

a-s701 is an audio amp, right? ie: powering 2 fullsized towers?


Not for 2 towers and a center channel for home theater?

I just bought this along with the Klipsch RP-600M II speakers that are on the front page right now. Is there a way to connect the input (my phone) to this via Bluetooth?

That is a solid pairing, should serve you well for many years. 👍🏼🙌🏼 Regarding bluetooth connectivity, no not natively, you'll want to look into a Bluetooth add-on module, they are relatively inexpensive and a straightforward add-on, though note, they do ultimately degrade the sound quality, though they are awfully convenient.

I agree with the poster above. If you're going the route of buying this beautiful amp, consider finding a different way to get your music to the amp. Consider something like the Wiim Pro https://www.amazon.com/WiiM-Recei...Y6D1W?th=1

It will use wifi as a "cast" target using Chromecast (if you're an android user) or Airplay (for Apple).

That looks like it still uses bluetooth, which will generally be lower quality than the item I suggested.

Agree with prior post with going with a Wiim. I think the pro allows for equalization and room correction.
