All gaming purchases could be considered a money sink. I don't disagree with you regarding in-game purchase for nothing but changing your outfit, but the game itself is free and if kids get entertainment from it I don't see a big deal in doing Roblox gift cards every once in a while. It helps pay the developers making the games there.

With setting standard and explaining to my kids the inefficient value of virtual purchases, my kids outgrew this within a year. Otherwise this is a huge money sink and the pressure from kids to get these is extreme.

Same. My kids would now rather have the cash to go out and thrift shop for clothes.

I use robux as a reward for things like good report cards and other achievements, or as part of Christmas and birthday gifts.

No different than any other toy or gaming purchase...

Me too, my kids never ask for anything except sometimes they ask for Robux. But the bigger the amount you give them the more they will spend it, so I don't give them big gift cards.
We spent like $3 per person on a game called Aftermath, great zombie apocalypse game we play together. Free to play on weekends though.

You can load big gift card to the account however, then you can convert whatever $ for the robux. Didn't know until someone told me. So now I load $50 or $100 in 1 shot then convert robux as they needed. Don't have to be the whole balance

You can also apply it for the Premium which is what I do for my youngest. It budgets out the Robux for him and you get extra perks for having the Premium, I guess. The cheapest plan is $5 which isn't terrible for something younger kids are so into.
