Too many fake razors on Amazon, get it from the Walgreens deal if possible

As someone who didn't listen, stay away from Gillette razor blades on Amazon. I've gotten fake ones before. Not all of them are fake, but it happened often enough that I stopped buying them. If you have to shave daily otherwise you'll have a full beard within the week, you'll feel the difference.

I think its a much bigger problem with sdcards. Got these a few times and they were fine. No indication they were counterfeit.

Decent deal but now hearing of possible of getting fake ones making me kinda weary…
Wary.

Unless you meant the chance of buying phony blades makes you all tired and sleepy?

Even Amazon admits it has a problem with fake & counterfeit products

Not an argument. The point is that these threads are polluted by people who make accusations left and right and have never brought anything with them that even remotely supports their false claims. Ever.

I get my Gillette Fusion blades at CVS. You can stack percentage off coupons (two 20% collectively turn into a 36% discount, as they are not additive), there's also the $8 off $35 coupon for many gillette products, some weeks a $5 or $7 off coupon for the refills, and most weeks you'll earn ExtraBucks on the purchase (usually $8 or $10). My target net price is less than 50 cents per blade, or $4.00 for an 8-pack. It does require waiting for all the stars to align, but it happens once every other month or so.

To re-patriate the ExtraBucks earned into real money again, find some high value offer on Shopkick (like Vitamins), and then cash out the Shopkick money to Paypal. If Shopkick doesn't have anything, then roll the ExtraBucks into something else (as they expire a month after you clip them), until a good "cash out" opportunity comes up. It's inarguably a lot of work, but it is cheaper.

Looking at the Amazon comments with pictures, it seems one reviewer says there is a way to verify legit blades by some numbering marking.
Gonna give these blades a try. Been having poor results from other brands and even a Temu knockoff.

I've bought quite a few fusion 5 blades in an unlabelled box from Amazon. They work fine. The box and the plastic holder have the Gillette logo written on them. Gillette is a big company and can and will take legal action.

The issue is that Amazon co-mingles their stock with marketplace sellers who let Amazon fulfill their orders. Amazon themselves don't buy and sell fakes, but when you buy from Amazon, they'll just get one from the same bin where their own stock and the stock they received from marketplace sellers are just mixed in. This is true from basically everything on Amazon and it's amazing to me that they haven't addressed this...

Obviously, that doesn't change the major point here: don't buy from Amazon.
This packaging is exclusive to Amazon. There are no marketplace sellers for this product.

laugh out loud I remember in college, in my Shakespeare class of all places, the professor telling me in front of the class, "Mr. [me], you always seem to use two words when one will do."

lol.. over engineered.

the larger point maybe is, pick your audience/battles. by doing that via always checking if the simpiler solution will do the task, then proceed with the output.
