In my opinion yes. I personally prefer Darn Tough over Smartwool but the Kirkland socks are those that stretch to cover as many sizes as possible which affects the fit especially long term as they tend to stretch out. Lots of people try Darn Tough or Smartwool for the first time and never go back to anything else.

My shoe size is anywhere from 8.5-9.5.
Should I go for M or L? Nervous L might be too loose and floppy, but M would be more prone to wear/holes if it's too tight.
I'm a 9.5 in women's shoes and 8 in men's. I get the medium women's Smartwool socks and they fit great.

I'm 9.5 and I gambled on L, since size chart showed L is 9-11.5
I went with L, I'm 9-9.5 size.

What could possibly be socially unsustainable about wool socks?

$5.85 for a single pair of sock?? 54% merino wool?I just bought these wool socks from Amazon. How do they compare? $11.99 for 4 pairs. 80% merino wool.NinetoFiveLife Pack of 4 Mens Merino Wool Socks [amazon.com]
I wonder how true is their claim of wool contents as it is a Chinese company

I'd guess if the wool were sourced from places with slave labor, like Uyghur camps in China.

Smartwool is always a mixture of the two. I think if you want 100% you don't go with Smartwool. If you want that warmth w/out sweating you do.

I'm getting these to offset w/my Darn Toughs which are MUCH more suited for warmth. These will be for days I don't need a hot sock but just a nice, warm sock

I greatly appreciate regret my last merino purchase from unknown Chinese company 248. They were so poorly made, uncomfortable and didn't hold up at all. I ended up ditching the entire set.

A child's hand turkey and Picasso both can use paint, but the craftsmanship of one over the other is a big different...

This is a legit deal for well built socks.

The merino wool socks for women that Costco stocks are much better quality the men's brand.
Word. The Missus brought home a pack of them - 80% merino and tight weave like premium socks.
