You can get these red KIDNEY larger beans 1lb for 1.25 at DT. Larger ones taste better or at least feels better and they are good quality at DT. Soak them overnight with little baking soda for softening effect so they are easier to cook on stove. And they aresuper healthy.
These are completely different from kidney beans. Different flavor, significantly different texture. Kidney beans have a thick, tough skin and can be gritty.
