Decent memory but as noted above slower compared to the $85 TeamGroup on Amazon. The Crucial is 12ns latency while the TeamGroup is 10ns.

If you live near a micro-center you can get Team Force T Create with CL30 for $1 more.

Amazon and New Egg also sell the T Force kit for $85

If the TeamGroup RAM is that much better, how come it's not really being advertised as a deal?

Cause they can be found sub ~$100 for awhile now. not even sure why the ram in this post is considered a deal when you can get better ones for only a little bit more

edit: it seems that it's been this price even before black Friday

Kingbank has a-die rgb in white from 6400mhz and up too. Klevv is another brand.

For those that may not know, Samsung, micron and Hynix are the main memory manufacturers. Hynix a die is preferred but not a simple expo profile for amd.

The resellers just put on an aluminum heatsink and thermal pads with branding, nothing special at this price point.

It should work* since based on current R16 spec shown on Alien website it's running DDR5.

*There is quite a bit more nuance.
  1. Why do you need more memory? Are you running into situation you are running out of memory?
  2. Are you replacing the memory or adding on the memory? If you are adding memory is it original bank filled with 1 slot or 2 slots? You have to take in account dual channel when you are installing them. Having more than 2 can have performance penalty, you have to check the motherboard manual. i.e. they will run at lower speed.
  3. The memory Alienware have installed seems to be either DDR5 5200 or 5600. Does the motherboard support DDR5 6000 otherwise it will run at lower frequency. If the motherboard only support up to 5600, you may be able to find memory at lower price at 5200 or 5600, depending on which came with your Alienware preinstalled.
  4. Generally you want to have all your memory with matching spec, frequency and CAS, or as close as possible otherwise you may run into stability issue. You may end up have to put aside the memory came with Alienware.

If you don't really care or don't want to dig too deep into performance penalty here and there then pick DDR5 5200 or above > cheapest > lowest CAS.
